We are seeking a talented, motivated Director of Policy Research & Analysis to join our Policy and Engagement Team. The candidate will play a key role in analyzing and communicating the impacts of policy changes and market developments on clean energy development and investment.
This ideal candidate will have first-hand experience in the design, analysis, and implementation of energy policy, research and analysis, including quantitative data analysis, and publication writing. The salary is $125- $135k.

We are seeking a talented, motivated Director of Policy Research & Analysis to join our Policy and Engagement Team. The candidate will play a key role in analyzing and communicating the impacts of policy changes and market developments on clean energy development and investment.
This ideal candidate will have first-hand experience in the design, analysis, and implementation of energy policy, research and analysis, including quantitative data analysis, and publication writing. The salary is $125- $135k.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the production of high-quality policy briefs, reports, white papers, fact sheets, presentations, and other materials that support ACORE’s advocacy efforts.
- Working closely with the SVP and other team members, create solid analysis and recommendations on federal policies that are critical to understanding the results from implementation of those policies, and which will be referenced by policy makers and their staff, the media and businesses.
- Identify new and emerging issues and conduct research and analysis on a range of renewable energy policy issues, including tax policy, regulatory reforms, and international trade.
- Represent ACORE in meetings with policymakers, member companies, industry stakeholders and other organizations.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, sector analysts, member companies, philanthropic funders, and allied organizations to support the development of ACORE reports.
- Manage specific policy projects, programs, and convenings, including coordinating with internal and external partners, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery results.
- Collaborate across the organization and membership to develop content for high-quality, compelling and educational online and in-person event programs.
- Manage quality control for ACORE communications and activities that communicate industry data and research findings.

- In-depth understanding of clean energy policy and market drivers.
- Strong background in quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex information into effective written materials.
- Clear, concise written and oral communications.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as science, economics, public policy or environmental studies. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years relevant work experience.
