The American Council on Renewable Energy (ACORE) is seeking a
passionate, energetic, and talented Events and Marketing intern to join our
Team and help us deliver on our mission to accelerate the transition to a
clean energy economy. The intern role will involve supporting efforts
around web development, event promotion, social media management, and
content creation.


The ideal candidate has strong writing skills and the ability to work
independently and can multitask in a fast-paced environment. Interns will
 report to the Marketing Manager and spend approximately 50% of their
time on a research project. Candidates should be working
toward a major in marketing, communications, public relations, political
science, or similar fields. Interest or background in clean energy trends,
clean energy policy, project finance, or advocacy is a plus. This internship is
paid at a rate of $17.95 per hour.
This position is based in Washington, D.C., but remote opportunities are
available.


Responsibilities
·Draft, edit and/or proofread a wide variety of written content (e.g.,
social media posts, newsletters, marketing emails, reports)
·Assist with drafting and scheduling content for ACORE’s social media
platforms including Twitter, BlueSky, LinkedIn, and Instagram
·Support event promotion strategies for signature conferences and
other key ACORE events
·Analyze membership and event marketing metrics and create reports
·Design, refresh, and edit digital graphics, signage, and presentations
·Perform other administrative tasks and miscellaneous duties as
assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
·Strong interpersonal skills and experience working as part of a team
·Experience working in a professional environment
·Self-motivated and dependable
·Solid writing skills, including familiarity with Associated Press style
·Ability to work independently, multitask, and take ownership over
projects and assignments
·Familiarity with social media channels
·Visual/graphic communications experience required
·Experience with Canva and MS Office suite required
